The ultimate Thorpe Park ride day plan – thrills, screams and theme park dreams!

Ready for a day of adrenaline, laughs, and maybe a little bit of screaming? Well welcome to Thorpe Park, the UK’s ultimate thrill destination! If you’re planning your visit and want to hit the big rides without wasting time in queues or wondering what’s next, this is your ride day plan. Let’s dive in!

1. Arrive Early: Like, Really Early

Get to the gates before opening time (aim for 9:30 AM). Trust me, the early bird gets front-row seats on Stealth. The queues build fast, especially on sunny days.

2. Head Straight to Stealth (Ride 1)

Top speed? 80mph in under 2 seconds. You’ll barely have time to scream. It’s over quick, but that rush? Unforgettable! Ride it first while the line is short. Check out more information on this speedy Gonzalez HERE!

3. The Big 3 Before 11am:

The Swarm: Smooth, soaring, and seriously cool. Go for the back row for max thrills. Need more information about The Swarm see it HERE.

Nemesis Inferno: A classic! Fire-themed and full of loops. Need some information see it HERE.

Saw – The Ride: Not for the faint-hearted. It’s twisted, literally. If you can handle the first drop, you’re a legend. Mate do you may want to take a look HERE for more information before any decisions are made? Don’t just take our word.

4. Take a Midday Break (and Eat!)

By now, your heart’s had a workout. Refuel at KFC, Cape Cod Fish & Chips or grab a Amity Kebabs. Sit, chill, and hydrate, because you’re only halfway through the madness. Check out our blog on where to eat in Thorpe Park there are many to choose from. Please note the restaurants mentioned above may have been redeveloped to a new restaurant site, so always check the Thorpe Park website for updates.

5. Chill Rides and Laughs

Rumba Rapids:  You will get splashed. Great for laughs with friends or family. Check it out HERE.

Storm Surge: Giant rubber rings and spinning euals total chaos (in the best way). See more information HERE.

6. Tidal Wave means Soaked

Save this for later in the day unless you want soggy socks all afternoon. It’s a splash fest, but on a hot day? Absolutely worth it. The classic see it HERE!

7. Re-ride Time or Explore the Extras

If queues aren’t bad, now’s your chance to repeat your besties, or if you’re feeling brave, try Detonator (yep, that’s the one that shoots you into the sky and drops you like a stone).

Top Tips

Book online and Fastrack: Worth it if you’re going on a weekend or school holiday. There are also so many other ticket options that include discounts, Check out our blog about the various tickets you can get (it includes pricing, always a win!)

App it up: Download the Thorpe Park app HERE for live queue times. Please note this link takes you to the Play Store for Android phones.

Waterproofs or poncho: You’ll thank yourself later.

Lockers: Use them! Nobody wants to carry soggy backpacks.

Final Note

Thorpe Park is a rollercoaster lover’s dream, but it’s also a great place to spend time with family and friends, challenge your fear levels, and let your inner thrill seeker loose. Follow this plan, and you’ll make the most of your day, minus the stress, plus all the screams.
